Munich (Germany)

On 8 May 2025, from 10:00 to 13:00, ETIP SNET will hold its second Regional Workshop of the year in Munich, under the title “AI & GenAI in Smart Grids”.

The workshop will explore the integration of artificial intelligence and generative AI into smart grids, with a focus on Central Europe. Participants will be presented with recent technological developments, practical applications, and best practices aimed at enhancing grid management, flexibility, and overall system efficiency.

A central part of the event will be the dissemination of ETIP SNET’s strategic recommendations to support the large-scale uptake of AI and GenAI in the energy sector, addressing key technical, regulatory, and market-related challenges.

The workshop will bring together representatives from the European Commission, grid operators, technology and ICT providers, utilities, research institutions, national authorities, and funding bodies.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage with peers from across the energy landscape, contribute to the identification of research and innovation gaps and priorities, and share perspectives on unresolved issues. These discussions will help inform the direction of future European policies and research agendas in support of the energy transition.

Diego Arnone, coordinator of the DEDALUS project, will join the panel as a speaker.

The event will take place in person only, within the framework of the EM-POWER Europe Conference.
