The FIWARE Global Summit is the flagship annual event organised by the FIWARE Foundation, bringing together public and private stakeholders, cities, technology providers, research institutions, and policy makers. The agenda focuses on key topics such as smart cities, sustainability, interoperability, data sovereignty, artificial intelligence, and the digital transformation of public services.
The event aims to foster an open digital ecosystem built on common standards and to showcase solutions and use cases based on open-source technologies, particularly those aligned with the FIWARE architecture.
Over the years, the Summit has become a key platform for discussing the integration of emerging technologies into urban service delivery.
The 2025 edition, held for the first time outside European borders, hosted a wide range of thematic sessions. Engineering, coordinator of the DEDALUS project, participated as a panelist in the session “Secure Smart Cities”, contributing to the discussion on collaborative cybersecurity strategies and resilient digital infrastructures.
