The IEEE International Workshop on Metrology for Living Environment (MetroLivEnv 2025), set to take place this year in Venice, will bring together researchers, industry leaders, and decision-makers to explore groundbreaking innovations in metrology and digital technologies. The event will focus on their transformative impact on the built environment.

Advancing Research and Applications in the Living Environment

MetroLivEnv 2025 will highlight the latest advancements in scientific and technological research, with an emphasis on solutions that enhance safety, comfort, energy efficiency, and health in built environments. The program will cover cutting-edge topics, including:

  • IoT-enabled solutions
  • Building Information Modeling
  • Advanced sensors and networks
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Data analytics and interoperability standards

The workshop takes a comprehensive approach, examining the entire lifecycle of the living environment—from design and construction to operation. Topics such as structural health monitoring, energy efficiency, indoor pollution assessment, and advanced techniques for measuring comfort will be at the forefront of discussions.

Special Sessions Highlight

MetroLivEnv 2025 will feature 12 Special Sessions, each focusing on specific aspects of innovation and research in the living environment. Among these, the session titled“Application of Digital Services in the Built Environment: Empowering Innovation through High-Quality Data-Driven Measurement Processes to Enhance Demand Response Strategies” stands out as a key initiative co-organized within the framework of  DEDALUS and DigiBUILD projects.

This session is led by ENGINEERING and Università Politecnica delle Marche, as DEDALUS and DigiBUILD partners.
