DEDALUS will participate in KEY – The Energy Transition Expo 2026, one of Europe’s leading events dedicated to technologies, services, and solutions for the clean energy transition, taking place from 4 to 6 March at the Rimini Expo Centre, Italy.
DEDALUS will contribute to the session “Interconnected cities: smart buildings and intelligent grids for a sustainable and inclusive decarbonisation”, with Diego Arnone from Engineering, coordinator in the DEDALUS consortium, joining the panel discussion.
The workshop will explore the role of Demand Response strategies, which encourage residential and commercial users to modulate or shift energy consumption during peak demand periods. Enabled by advanced digital technologies such as IoT and artificial intelligence, these solutions can help reduce demand peaks, improve the integration of renewable sources, and increase the overall efficiency of buildings and urban infrastructures.
The session will also present innovative tools developed within the DEDALUS project for residential Demand Response in a multi-energy context.
A key highlight of the meeting will be the presentation of the UNI 11973 standard, which introduces a multi-level and multidimensional methodological framework to support decision-making processes and evaluate the interactions between buildings and the wider territorial contexts in which they operate—from districts and neighbourhoods to energy communities and cities.
Through its participation, DEDALUS will showcase its approach to enabling energy flexibility and optimising consumption across buildings and energy communities, supporting the development of more efficient, sustainable, and citizen-centred energy ecosystems.
