On 17 April, European Green Cities – as a DEDALUS partner –  will host a high-level Expert Roundtable devoted to policy issues surrounding residential demand response. The initiative forms part of the wider European pathway towards the forthcoming Network Code on Demand Response and will bring together representatives from institutions, associations, research, and industry to discuss possible policy actions in support of the energy transition.

The discussion will address some of the most pressing issues for the development of residential demand response, including the harmonisation of consumer data, the use of regulatory sandboxes, the role of independent aggregators, and the definition of “IoT for Energy” standards.

The recommendations arising from the discussion, also informed by the work carried out by DEDALUS on Demand Response systems for the residential sector, will help shape the debate on future European energy policies.
